Job Summary (Basic Functions): We are actively searching for a Human Resources Intern to join our corporate HR team in Atlanta, GA. This is a generalist Internship where students may receive real-world experience and exposure to project work in the areas of Payroll, Benefits, Vendor Maintenance, On-Boarding new employees, Regulations (EEOC, FMLA, etc), Training and Systems (HRIS, ADP, internal). This position will report to the Human Resources Team Leader and is based in the corporate office in the Buckhead area. Qualified candidates must live in the Atlanta, GA area during the Internship.
The goal of this program is to prepare future candidates for LG Chem.
What You’ll Be Doing
Essential Functions (Principal assignments include but are not limited to):
- Goal setting to align projects with business needs.
- Work closely with HR team members to ensure HRIS and HR IT system (SuccessFactors) data is accurate.
- Performs routine tasks such as maintaining employee records; editing and updated policies, procedures and handbooks; and other project work as assigned.
- General vendor relations such as contacting vendors for information, invoicing, setting meetings, and other general duties.
- Collaborate with HR team members to create presentations for internal reporting.
- Manage large sets of data and provide reports used for decision making.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: What We’re Looking For
Education: Students must be currently enrolled in their Junior or Senior year pursuing degree in Human Resources or business-related curriculum.
Requirements:
- Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-start with desire to learn and work autonomously.
- Must possess good reading, writing and math skills.
- Excellent analytical ability to effectively analyze large amounts of data and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use MS Products (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams) and learn ERP and Proprietary systems.
Preferred Qualification/What We’d Like to See:
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation.
- Ability to collaborate across business functions and work as part of a team.
- Bilingual in English/Korean strongly preferred

The Procurement Specialist will work in an environment that includes vocal conversations, white noise and/or ventilation noise from AC or heat, external noise such as cars, trucks, sirens from passing vehicles, light construction in the building, sounds from large equipment, dust, moving to and from the office via elevators, florescent lighting, etc.
