LG Chem has a newly created 12-Month Internship for our Business Development Team based in Atlanta, GA. The Business Development Team acts as the bridge between our headquarters in Korea and the market dynamics and key players of the relevant North American innovation ecosystems for business development in existing/new business areas of LG Chem. This is an excellent opportunity to gain real world experience from projects or tasks related to development of new business opportunities. These may include market research focused on customer or market trends, data analysis, or product competitiveness. This is a full-time, hourly position, based in our corporate office in the Buckhead area of Atlanta and our office hours are 8AM - 5PM Monday-Friday.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead deep-dive research and analysis of competitor strategies, product positioning, partnerships, and market movements.
  • Monitor and analyze emerging industry trends, disruptive technologies, and market dynamics that could impact the company’s competitive position.
  • Prepare and present ad hoc data analysis.
  • Craft compelling presentations and reports that simplify complex data into clear, impactful recommendations.
  • Stay informed on relevant Federal regulations, policy and developments.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES: WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

 

Minimum Qualifications/What We Need to See

  • Bachelors degree required in science or engineering, Advanced Degrees is a plus
  • Experience in Open Innovation, technology scouting, market intelligence, Chemical/Technical products or course work in these areas preferred

 

Preferred Qualifications/What We’d Like to See

  • Preferably battery material, petrochemical related industries experience

 

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in analyzing and writing reports
  • Skilled in use of basic office software (Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
