Job Summary (Basic Functions): We are seeking a Logistics & Customs Planning Specialist to support logistics operations and trade compliance activities across the U.S. marketplace and the Americas region. This role provides coordination and analytical support for logistics planning, customs compliance, and regional operations while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, regional subsidiaries, and external partners. This position also works with global teams, including Korea headquarters, to support logistics strategies, contract management, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supply chain efficiency and regulatory compliance. This is an individual contributor role suited for a detail-oriented professional with a strong interest in logistics, operations, customs processes, and cross-border trade within a multinational corporate environment.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):

 

Import/Export Compliance & Customs Management

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. import/export regulations, CBP requirements, and company policies
  • Manage customs clearance processes and coordinate with brokers and freight forwarders
  • Prepare, review, and maintain import/export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, B/L, etc.)
  • Utilize CBP systems (ACE, CTPAT) for filings and compliance tracking
  • Monitor regulatory changes and maintain audit-ready records

 

Logistics Operations & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate logistics vendors, including carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PLs
  • Track shipments and resolve delays, damages, or clearance issues
  • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance related to cost, service, and delivery timelines
  • Support logistics contract review, renewal, and compliance with service agreements
  • Identify cost-saving and service improvement opportunities

 

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Support regional subsidiaries with logistics and trade compliance processes
  • Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, finance, operations) to support supply chain efficiency
  • Coordinate with Korea HQ and global teams on logistics-related projects
  • Analyze logistics data and KPIs to identify trends and optimization opportunities
  • Support process standardization and implementation of best practices across regions
  • Generate reports using SAP, Excel, and other tools


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: What We’re Looking For

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or trade compliance roles
  • Experience in logistics contract management, customs operations, or
  • Working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations (CBP), HTS classification, Incoterms
  • Experience with logistics vendors (freight forwarders, brokers, 3PLs)
  • Proficiency in SAP (SD/MM preferred) and advanced Excel (data analysis, reporting)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive mindset with strong commitment to compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement
  • Experience with ACE, CTPAT, or similar trade compliance systems preferred
  • Experience collaborating with Korea headquarters and global subsidiaries preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with logistics providers, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders
