Job Summary (Basic Functions): LG Chem Advance Materials, Inc. (LGCTA) is actively searching for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team in Clarksville, TN. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be an individual contributor reporting to the Production Technology Team Manager and work alongside our Production team. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be an influential leader and technical resource to develop and optimize Operational excellence for plant operations, resolving plant engineering issues, and enabling safe and efficient production of a high-quality product.
This position is based full time in Clarksville, TN and is not a remote role.
What You’ll Be Doing
Essential Functions (included but are not limited to):
Technical Focus:
- Execute maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of site mechanical, electrical, and control systems applicable to facility, utility, and production equipment.
- Utilization of preventitive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices on all site systems.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with installation, modification, and commissioning of current and new equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Effective troubleshooting to prevent excessive downtime and promote proper utilization of spare parts and resources.
Engineering & Cross-Team Support:
- Review OEM manuals and SOPs to ensure proper execution of maintenance tasks and identify improvement opportunities for escalation.
- Understanding of Quality standards and compliance while performing all maintenance activities
- Compliance with all EHS rules and standards to ensure the safety of technicians and other affected parties during maintenance and equipment operation.
- Coordination with affected parties such as production & process technology when equipment requires any maintenance activities.
Team Practices and Support:
- Proper management of spare parts in compliance with company procedures to ensure adequate inventories
- Ability to train and be trained to ensure that technical knowledge is shared.
- Work with minimal supervision when performing assigned troubleshooting, PMs, and repairs while adhering to established procedures.
- Stay current on all company required training and follow company guidelines when addressing administrative issues.
Document Control:
- Utilize company CMMS(LAMP) to ensure that all works performed are well documented and that any parts or consuambles used are also documented.
- Understanding company guidelines when accessing and using all controlled documents.
- Identify documentation gaps or errors and communicate recommended improvements to appropriate stakeholders.

Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Technical diploma or Associate Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Maintenance preferred.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience performing industrial maintenance in manufacturing, chemical, or petrochemical environments.
- Ability to work multiple shifts, including weekends, rotating shifts, or be asked to work supplemental hours.
- Strong experience and understanding of maintenance operations pertaining to industrial environments across multiple disciplines.

Preferred Qualification/What We’d Like to See:
- Experience with PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting (Mitsubishi GX-Works 3 & Pro-face GP-PRO EX preferred)
- Familiarity with industrial automation, robotics, and process control systems
- Understanding of industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO)
- Certifications in electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation trades (e.g., NETA, NFPA 70E/70B, ISA)
- Experience with plant utility systems (chillers, compressors, HVAC, substation equipment, etc.)
- Use of predictive maintenance practices (vibration, oil analysis, infrared, ultrasonics)
Work Environment
This position is based primarily within a manufacturing environment and requires regular exposure to typical plant conditions. Team members may experience elevated noise levels, fumes, dust, vibrations, moving mechanical equipment, heat exposure, and other industrial hazards while performing daily duties. The role may also involve handling or moving product samples and navigating active production areas.
