Job Summary (Basic Functions):  LG Chem Advance Materials, Inc. (LGCTA) is actively searching for an Equipment/General Procurement Specialist to join our team in Clarksville, TN. The Equipment/General Procurement Specialist will be an individual contributor reporting to the Procurement team and be responsible for assisting and sourcing new vendors to acquire equipment or equipment services or vendors who supply equipment and MRO Material.

 

This position is based full time in Clarksville, TN and is not a remote role.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):

 

Administrative:

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
  • Request for Quotation (RFQ).
  • Support Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE).
  • Create Commercial Bid Evaluation (CBE) with detailed price analysis.
  • Renew the contract if a Change Order occurs.
  • Control shipping documents(BL / IV / PL) from partners and managing payment for partners.
  • Source quality suppliers and complete bidding process total cost of ownership perspective.
  • Procure the MRO material and maintain stock amount Manage receipt, shipment and settlement for MRO material.
  • Report sourcing / procurement status for management group and stakeholders.

 

Negotiation Skills:

  • Develop and negotiate vendor contracts to ensure favorable terms and pricing for the company.
  • Resolve discrepancies and invoice problems.
  • Requires persistent and continuous work to address supply chain challenges.

 

Quality Focus:

  • Research and identify prospective new equipment suppliers.
  • Liaison with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations.
  • Evaluate products and suppliers according to key business criteria.
  • Ensure all contract are based upon and meet standards.
  • Manage huge data based upon consistency and integrity

 

Data Analysis

  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate inventory and procurement records.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns

 

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: What We’re Looking For

 

Education:  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required. .

 

Requirements:

  • 0+ years of experience in industrial equipment and installation purchasing. US project/equipment purchasing highly preferred.
  • 0+years of experience leveraging strong negotiating and influencing skills with industrial equipment.
  • Experience in EPC, Battery, Battery Materials or Chemical Industry is a plus.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of an ERP system. (SAP experience preferred)

 

Preferred Qualification/What We’d Like to See:

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation
  • Proficiency in the use of PC and Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word etc.)
  • Excellent analytical ability to effectively analyze production data.
  • Experience working with global company.
