Summary:

The Facilities Solvent Recover Process (SRP) Technician 1 role is an individual who will support the facilities SRP/CESS process team. The role will be that of a technician to support the operation, maintenance and repair activities for the (SRP) solvent recovery equipment and associated areas. The job role will require flexibility, initiative, and dedication to support other technicians for operations, maintenance and repair activities. The SRP Area will require a total 4 technician teams to support the daily SRP process. Each team works a 12-hour work shift.   

 

Responsibilities:

  • The SRP/CESS Technician 1 will follow the battery cell manufacturing process by using the plant’s technology and equipment.
  • Tech 1’s main role is that of a technician to support the operations, maintenance and repair activities for the SRP solvent recovery equipment and area.
  • Tech 1 role is that of a newer hands-on technician that has 1-2 years of experience that can learn and develop their repair techniques to advance to a more experienced technician.
  • Support LH and contracted technicians in hands-on repairs of the SRP equipment.
  • Support the assignments of daily tasks and workload.
  • Develop and employ an understanding of solvent recovery and purification process.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the solvent recovery purification process, central electrolyte storage system, environmental equipment and hot oil boiler systems.
  • Support the set up and monitoring of the solvent recovery process and central electrolyte storage system HMI’s.
  • Operate mobile equipment such as a scissor lift, fork truck, side by side, hand-jack, and other equipment as needed.
  • Support of SRP utility infrastructure reliability, capacity, and safety.
  • Support organizational budget development for capital investment and expense activities.
  • Provide technical expertise to meet daily operations targets and production goals.
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with associated contract documents, codes, and regulations.
  • Work a 12-hour rotating Pitman schedule. (Example will be shared at interview)

 

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • 1-2 years of related work experience.

 

Knowledge/skills:

  • Positive attitude, open minded, and team player.
  • Strong safety acumen.
  • Ability to mentor & develop team members on key technical information & requirements.
  • Strong subject matter knowledge of industrial utility and infrastructure systems.
  • Ability to do hands on repairs of Solvent Recovery Equipment and systems.
  • Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrate basic math and reading comprehension.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, attention to detail, decision making and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Comprehending technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure equipment is working properly.
  • Effective communication of ideas to gain consensus from individuals or teams.  
  • Ability to multitask and balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Working well in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to balance the wants / needs of the customer with Facilities operational requirements.
  • Must be able to speak and read English.
  • Korean language proficiency a plus.
  • Steam boiler experience a plus.
