As an IT Security Engineer, you would be responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents, conducting security reviews and vulnerability assessments, and managing security risks across applications, systems, and infrastructure. Ensures compliance with internal policies and industry standards through audits, policy enforcement, and continuous improvement of security controls. Supports implementation and operation of security tools, oversees endpoint security, and delivers security awareness training. Provides thorough documentation and reporting on security posture, incidents, and risk assessments while collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen organizational security.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Monitoring & Incident Response: 
    • Monitor security alerts and logs from various systems. 
    • Respond to and manage security incidents, including investigations, documentation, and resolution. 
  • Security Review:
    • Conduct security reviews of applications, systems, and infrastructure to ensure compliance with organizational security policies.
    • Perform security assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
  •  Vulnerability Assessment & Risk Management: 
    • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify potential security gaps. 
    • Evaluate and manage security risks associated with third-party vendors, internal systems, and networks. 
    • Assist with risk assessments and the development of strategies to mitigate identified risks. 
  •  Security Infrastructure Management: 
    • Participate in the implementation and upgrade of security tools and technologies. 
  • Compliance & Policy Enforcement: 
    • Ensure adherence to internal security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Update and enforce information security policies and procedures. 
    • Assist in audits and compliance reviews to ensure organizational security practices align with company and industry standards. 
    • Perform internal audits of different North America subsidiaries. 
  •  Operation: 
    • Daily overview of company security endpoint solutions. 
  • Education & Awareness: 
    • Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for associates. 
    • Provide guidance on safe data handling practices, secure password management, and phishing prevention, among others. 
  • Documentation & Reporting: 
    • Document security incidents, vulnerabilities, and their resolutions. 
    • Create regular reports for management on security posture, incidents, and risk assessments. 

 

Education/Experience:

  • degree in Information Security, Information Technology or a related field. 
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in information security, IT, or a related field. 
  • Experience with vulnerability management and risk assessment tools. 
  • Resourceful and adaptable to changing security needs. 

 

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong understanding of security technologies (DLP, NAC, etc.). 
  • Implementor and/or auditor of ISO 27001. 
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS are good to have.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 
  • Incident response and forensic investigation skills. 
  • Security certifications (CISSP, CISA, and/or CompTIA Security+).
  • Korean Language proficiency Preferred but not required
