For our company LGCEG we are looking Lab Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen our team as quickly as possible. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all experimental data, ensuring its accuracy, reliability, and consistency throughout the entire experimental process.

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Management of analysis laboratory operations
  • Technical leadership and subject matter expertise for laboratory services provided to TS&D Engineers at CS Center Europe
  • Setup, calibration, and operation of laboratory equipment, quality systems, and safety programs
  • Training of laboratory personnel in testing procedures, quality standards, and safety practices in compliance with applicable regulations and company policies
  • Oversight of laboratory service activities to ensure program quality, timely results, and high customer satisfaction
  • Identification of improvement opportunities to align laboratory operations with business objectives and ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones
  • Coordination with external organizations (e.g., contract laboratories)
  • Optimization of turnaround time for sample processing requests
  • Development and implementation of innovative methods and practices within the technical competency group at CS Center Europe
  • Collaboration with internal and external partners on experimental design, process development and optimization, and validation strategies
  • Review and approval of test requests, supporting documentation, and reports; assurance of accurate documentation and compliance with safety protocols
  • Support for laboratory tours, stakeholder visits, and training activities for internal and external partners
  • Engagement with the external scientific, technical, and regulatory community to maintain state-of-the-art knowledge, equipment, and processes

 

 

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Successfully completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication abilities
  • Business fluent in English (spoken and written), proficiency in German, French, Spanish, Polish, Italian or Korean is an advantage
  • Experiences in technical service and method development, preferably in organic/inorganic/surface analysis is a plus
  • Professional experience at a plastics manufacturer, in processing of thermoplastics or research and development of polymers would be beneficial
  • Structured, responsible, independent and proactive way of working
  • Confident handling of common MS Office programs
  • Confident handling of all hierarchies, customers and suppliers
  • Distinct analysis and teamwork skills, customer, service and solution-oriented work attitude
  • Excellent assertiveness and problem solving
  • Willingness to travel 50 % within EMEA and a class B driving license
