LG Chem Ohio Petrochemical, Inc. is seeking a 12‑month General Affairs Intern to support our ABS Compounding Facility and Customer Solution Center in Ravenna, Ohio. This position requires bilingual proficiency in Korean and English to collaborate with teams both onsite and at our headquarters in Korea.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting diverse teams, including Production, Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Color Design, and Accounting/Finance.
What You’ll Do
Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks for office and plant operations, including managing recurring vendor payments, scheduling meetings, and coordinating with suppliers.
- Maintain inventory of office consumables and reorder supplies as needed.
- Process orders for manufacturing supplies and parts based on internal demand.
- Support HR-led activities, events, and internal communications.
- Research potential materials, supplies, or equipment for both office and manufacturing use.
- Provide Korean–English interpretation and translation support for team members and visitors.
- Assist in developing office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with team members to prepare internal presentations and reports.
- Manage large datasets and generate reports used for operational and leadership decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; open to any major. Degrees in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Humanities, Education, or related fields are preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in data management or customer relationship management is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is required to effectively collaborate with colleagues in Korea and onsite teams.
- Availability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
- This position is classified as hourly, non-exempt, and is eligible for overtime pay.
