LG Chem Mexico is actively searching for an Account Manager (B2B Sales position) to join our Engineered Plastics team based in Monterrey (San Pedro Garza Garcia), Mexico. This is an individual contributor role and the incoming will manage existing accounts and develop new customers for our Engineered Plastics. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

 

Roles and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

 

    • Prospecting and cold calling.
    • Understand key players, applications, requirements, trends, and needs as well as LG Chem´s potential and share within the targeted industry.
    • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
    • Supports the success of an assigned team of Salespeople, including Account Managers, and Business Development Sales Representatives in the Head Quarter Office
    • Coordinate the customer involvement (Ex. Meetings, Price negotiations) of Head Office personnel when needed, including support resources, team members, and management.
    • Lead demand-generating marketing activities in the assigned market for the assigned product specialty.  
    • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
    • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines monthly/yearly
    • Supports initiatives that ensure product profitability. 
    • Achieves product growth targets in the assigned geography or account base.    
    • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.    
    • Completes required reporting/analysis within the assigned timeframe.    
    • Develop new customers for new business in the assigned market and product.
    • Meeting summary to be sent to the customer and reported internally within 5 days
    • Research and report of assigned market and product for new business sales
    • Manage A/R Claims to be zero
    • Manage A/R Past due 10 days minimum
    • Attend internal meetings and prepare reports
    • Write weekly or specific reports required by the HQ/ Mexico Office
    • Create and update customer profiles to have in dept knowledge of each account

 

Experience / Requirements

 

    • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in chemical engineering, chemistry or business related
    • 3+ years of experience selling B2B
    • Preferably plastics, polymer business or technical products experience
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ideal candidates will have a proven track record as a “Rain Maker” selling in a B2B space. Petrochemical maker, distributor or trader in the Engineered Plastics is highly preferred.
    • Skilled in use of PCs and related software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
    • Knowledge of SAP (ERP) system is preferred
    • Travel 50%.  Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence
